RMIT university

The Master of Animation, Games & Interactivity at RMIT University is a practice-led postgraduate program exploring the intersections of animation, game design, and interactive media. Grounded in studio practice and critical inquiry, the course pushes students to develop original creative works across 3D animation, XR, interactive installations, and emerging digital technologies.

Melbourne Design Week 2026

As part of RMIT's EPIC Intensive, the Master of Animation, Games & Interactivity cohort hosted Melbourne Design Week 2026, a two-week event showcasing student work in immersive and interactive media. I helped coordinate and run four days of the showcase at the VX Lab, Building 91, RMIT Carlton. Alongside the event, I created social media content including countdown, wayfinding and event highlight reels compiling the showcased XR and interactive works. One of my own projects, NovaRover, built for the Nova 360 simulator, was featured as part of the showcase.

Nova Rover

NovaRover is a gravity-driven VR traversal experience I contributed to as part of RMIT's EPIC Intensive 2026, under the guidance of Stephanie Andrews and Kate Cawley. I was responsible for the pod design, creating the spider mecha that players inhabit as they navigate an unstable planetary environment. The rover crawls across open terrain, scales vertical rock formations, and traverses inverted surfaces, with the Nova Motion Simulator providing physical motion feedback that reinforces each gravitational shift. The project was showcased at Melbourne Design Week 2026.

Calm VS Chaos

Calm vs Chaos is a 3D animated short exploring the contrast between a character's composed exterior and their chaotic inner world. Four vignettes follow everyday people — a kid at a sandpit, a teen on a tennis court, a woman on a work call, an old man on a footpath — each pushed past their limit, with the camera diving into their heads to reveal absurdist, over-the-top fantasy sequences inspired by the hyper-kinetic energy of anime like Redline and Kill la Kill. The project was produced entirely in Blender, with character faces 3D scanned from peers and attached to rigged bodies. Final compositing and colour grading were done in After Effects, with editing in Premiere Pro.

Hollow

Hollow is an animated short set in a post-human world where autonomous mecha roam a recovering Earth, restoring what was left behind. The project explores machine perception through an ASCII visual language — the world seen through the eyes of the mecha themselves, rendered in cold, computational aesthetics that contrast with the organic environment they inhabit. Produced in Blender with compositing in After Effects,
